Afghan Pasta Recipe

  1. bring water to boil for pasta and begin to cook pasta according to package directions while you are making ground beef
  2. sauce the onion in some oil. once translucent- add in ground beef and minced garlic. allow this to brown for about 5 minutes
  3. add in all the spices listed for ground beef and brown for another 5 minutes
  4. add the water and close the lid to cook through until liquid has evaporated
  5. then add the tomato paste and tomato sauce
  6. leave on low simmer for a few minutes until sauce comes together
  7. when pasta has cooked, add in a few spoonfuls of meat sauce to the pasta and let the sauce coat the noodles well
  8. on your serving platter- a spread of mint yogurt
  9. on the final top layer add fresh cilantro and dried mint
  10. ENJOY!
