Banana Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  5. Add the flour and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into the loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
