Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour, olive oil, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  6. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a 12-inch circle. Place on a pizza pan or baking sheet.
  7. Spread pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  9. Add your favorite toppings.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  11. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, slice, and enjoy!
